The Berghof Automation division in Mühlhausen has become unprofitable. The site must therefore be closed.
Technology company Berghof will close its site in Mühlhausen by the end of the year. The company said a total of 30 employees were affected. As a result, the storage systems testing technology business in Mühlhausen is no longer profitable.

That's why the site ran into financial problems last year. The management and the works council are already supposed to negotiate a social plan.
In the future, Berghoff wants to focus on business areas with higher turnover, particularly control technology, railways and Logistics Solutions As well as testing systems. According to the company, the Berghof Group employs 400 people worldwide, including in Singapore, the United States and Spain.
Berghof Automation GmbH is engaged in industrial automation and has 70 employees. In addition to Mühlhausen, the company has another site in Enningen in Baden-Württemberg.
