This LEGO Ideas review praises Coraline: The Pink Palace

Coraline: The Pink Palace is the latest fan post to reach the 10k mark and reach the third LEGO Ideas 2023 review.

Another fan-designed model has managed to gain 10,000 backers and be included in the third LEGO Ideas review for 2023. Coraline: The Pink Palace follows closely on the heels of the recent WTC Twin Towers & Vista International Hotel 1979, with the latest addition being based on the animated film Henry Selick’s 2009 stop-motion film Coraline.

Designer idea Big chickenCoraline: The Pink Palace is a 2,999-piece model of the main location in the film and appears to be a three-story version of the house. The entrance is mainly composed of gray and pink elements, matching the appearance of the building that leads to the Otherworld, a dark alternate dimension inhabited by beady-eyed doppelgangers.

In addition to the main house itself, Coraline: The Pink Palace also includes minifigures of some of the characters from the film, including Coraline, Charlie Jones, Mel Jones and Alexander Bobinksi.

These fan-submitted entries were lucky enough to make it past the third edition of the 2023 LEGO Ideas review which will be announced in January 2024, so there’s still time to add several more models to the mix.
