With the Xplora X6 Play eSIM, Telekom presents a new smartwatch for children. The watch has a GPS function that allows parents to see their children’s real-time location and create safety zones.
The watch also has School Mode, which is designed to enable undisturbed learning without access to the Internet or games. The smartwatch is now available from Telekom and has been rated “Very Good” by Connect Trade magazine.
A kid-friendly smartphone alternative
According to Telekom, the Xplora X6 Play eSIM is a “kid-friendly alternative to your smartphone” and offers up to 50 contacts via the associated app. It is operated using self-explanatory icons on a touch screen. The watch also has an SOS button that can be pressed for five seconds in an emergency and then send an emergency call to two stored phone numbers.
The smartwatch also features variable color options and technologies popular for this product category, including a 1.2GHz processor, 1.52-inch screen, and a 5MP camera. In order to be able to use the smartwatch, the Smart Connect S tariff must be booked, which costs € 9.95 per month. With a 24-month contract, customers pay a one-time fee of €49.95 for the smartwatch.
