Many gamers take their gaming setups with them on the go. Because you don’t want to miss out on your favorite hobby while on the go. One gamer took his entire PC on the plane. But it seems he forgot the most important thing.

Gaming PC included, but forgot Steam

What did he forget? After he had his entire gaming system plugged into the plane and turned on his computer, he realized he had forgotten to install Steam. Without Steam, he couldn't access his games. He explains it in one go: Posted on Reddit.

If he had traveled with the Steam Deck instead, at least he wouldn't have forgotten to install Steam.

Some players have already joked in the comments that now they can only play Solitaire on the hour-long flight. This is the standard card game that comes pre-installed on every Windows system. Microsoft said goodbye to Minesweeper and the popular 3D Pinball game on Windows many years ago.

Can't download Steam on a plane? The user explained in another post on reddit that the WiFi on the plane was a disaster and would not be sufficient for downloading.

Airplanes offer plugs, and many are now switching to USB-C.

Can you connect your computer on a plane? Yes, some aircraft, especially “first class”, provide in-seat power outlets that provide adequate power. However, the trend among aircraft manufacturers and companies is now towards providing USB-C outlets on aircraft. This is more widespread (depending on the country) and you do not need an adapter for the built-in outlet.

However, the user also explains in a post that he has built and is running a system that uses very little power: “It's also an SFF version (7800X3D + RTX 4000 SFF) running on CO2 and the PPT limit is set to 65W so it consumes very little power.

The RTX 4000 SFF Ada is a low-profile, dual-slot workstation GPU that typically requires less power than real gaming graphics cards.

He explained that he at least pleasantly surprised the flight attendants, “even a nice lady complimented me and asked me how I did it.”
