Beyoncé’s scheduled Aug. 3 performance at Accresor Stadium on Wednesday was canceled due to “logistical and scheduling issues.” North Shore fans and businesses said they were disappointed Beyoncé would not be coming to Pittsburgh. The general manager of Voodoo Brewing Company said that they would now take other opportunities for the company to generate revenue because the concert would have made a lot of money. A tweet from Mayor Ed Genie said the city was “deeply disappointed” by the cancellation: “We were so ready to welcome her to Pittsburgh and honor her with an official day recognizing her visit and her accomplishments.” Beyoncé’s promoter to find out why the suspension was rescinded and if a new date could be set. Refunds will be issued to fans who have already purchased tickets. Acrisure Stadium says fans with questions regarding ordering tickets should contact their point of purchase.
