The Lunar Pilot Chronograph was inspired by large meteoroids that fall to Earth and collide with the Earth in the form of meteoroids during meteor showers in space. The Lunar Pilot Chronograph is an integral part of space exploration in the United States, and has a long history with NASA. This is an upgraded version of the original Bulova watch that went to the moon.

The dial, which is the first for the brand to feature a meteorite across its entire surface, uses the Muonionarsta meteorite, which is believed to have fallen to Earth around 4.5 billion years ago. The unique and varied crystal patterns created by the “Widmanstätten structure” are very unique, creating a one-of-a-kind six-hand chronograph dial.

The three sub-dials include a 1/20 second chronograph at 3 o'clock, small seconds at 6 o'clock, and a 60-minute counter at 9 o'clock. The thin hands and indexes are coated with luminescent paint to provide excellent visibility, making it possible to read the time even at the darkness.
