I want to build a computer for my girlfriend. Now she wants to have her first gaming PC.
She loves to play SIMS 4, GTA 5, Minecraft, or the single-player RPG that just came out. AAA title too.
If possible, I would like to build her a MINI-ITX computer for her, because she looks nicer on the desk.
Maybe even in white? If that’s not possible, so be it. Then the regular ingredients…
I would be very grateful for the current recommendations!
1. Do you want to play on PC?
- What exactly are games? GTA 5, SIMS 4, Minecraft and Triple AAA games that may be new and interesting.
- Which Precision? FULL HD to WQHD. It really doesn’t need more.
- Ultra/high/medium/low graphics settings? to rise..
- 30 Is it enough for you? FPS Or should it be 60 or even 144 fps? 60 fps minimum
2. Would you like to use your computer to edit photos/music/videos or CAD? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software will you use?
If at all a video editing hobby
My girlfriend is also a programmer, in case she needs to know.
3. Do you have special requirements or wishes (overclocking, a particularly quiet PC, RGB lighting, …)?
Very quiet and an RGB computer would be nice for them.
4. How many screens do you want to use? Number, Model, Resolution, Refresh Rate (Hertz)? Do you support FreeSync (AMD) or G-Sync (Nvidia)? (Please with a link to the manufacturer or compare prices!)
2 connected monitors. I buy it a home screen separately, which I buy according to the specifications here. The second screen remains a normal DELL FULL HD.
5. Do you still have an old computer, parts of which can be reused? (Please with links to specifications from the manufacturer or compare prices!)
- Processor (CPU):-
- Random Access Memory (RAM):-
- Motherboard: –
- Transducer: –
- Living: –
- Graphics Card: In theory, I’d have an RX 580 with 8GB of VRAM here to get you started, if I had to wait for the graphics cards.
- HDD/SSD:-
- I still have an Arctic LIQUID Freezer 360 here, which I could theoretically use as a cooler on my CPU. But then it depends on the condition if it works.
6. How much money do you want to spend?
900-1000 Euro
7. When do you want to buy the computer? ASAP or can you wait a few weeks/months?
One to two months at the latest.
8. Do you want to assemble the computer yourself or assemble it (by the store or by volunteers)?
I assemble the computer.
