The last exhibition at the Donaustadt District Museum is about toys. A special curated exhibition entitled “8 Bit plus” highlights the eventful history of game consoles.

The exhibition will open on Sunday, November 27 at 10:30 am. The exhibition was inaugurated by the District Director, Ernest Neverive. The kick off event runs until 4:00 p.m. Submission is free. The curator is Emeritus District Historian Joachim Moselke, an expert in the field of “game hardware”. About 30 original consoles can be seen, from the 70’s to the present (“Nintendo”, “Atari 2600”, “Philips G 7000” and many others). A must for all players!
In addition to the displays in the showcases, there are 14 panels that give a good review of technical developments in words and pictures. A “game station” that is freely available to the public

The special exhibition will run through Sunday, December 18th. The Donaustadt District Museum is open every Sunday from 10 am to 12 noon.
Additional appointment for Christmas: On Saturday, December 24, visit from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The museum will remain closed between Sunday, December 25th and Saturday, January 7th. Regular museum operations continue on Sunday, January 8th. Last day of the exhibition: Sunday 12 February. Entry is always free.
