The BMW Group and Rimac Technology agree on a long-term partnership.

Munich/Zagreb. The BMW Group and Rimac Technology, headquartered near Zagreb, Croatia, announce their long-term partnership.

The aim of the cooperation is to jointly develop and produce innovative solutions in the field of high-voltage storage technology for selected projects of battery electric vehicles.

The strengths and competencies of both companies complement each other in a targeted way. The BMW Group's electrification strategy aims to expand its leadership position in premium electric mobility. Even before 2030, battery electric cars will account for more than half of global car sales. The BMW Group brings more than 15 years of experience in batteries and electric motors to this partnership.

Rimac Technology is a Tier 1 supplier belonging to the Rimac Group specializing in the electrification of the automotive sector with innovative products. The portfolio is defined by high-voltage battery systems and electronic hubs as well as electronic and software solutions developed and produced in-house. This makes it possible to offer solutions that combine advanced technology with a high level of customization. The long-term partnership with the BMW Group demonstrates the company's transformation from a specialist supplier of super sports cars into a Tier 1 supplier for large-scale automotive projects.

Thanks to the company's continued growth, including the opening of the Rimac Complex, Rimac Technology is ready to implement major projects to the highest automotive standards as a reliable partner.

The two partners will provide more details about the form, scope and content of the strategic cooperation at a later time.

Aside from the new strategic cooperation, the BMW Group is preparing to launch the sixth generation of BMW eDrive technology. It will make further significant advances in all customer-relevant features such as range and charging time.
