Han Hahn-based technology company Verder Scientific has commissioned a powerful rooftop solar system at its headquarters in Retsch-Allee. The system has a peak output of 407 kilowatts and in the future will cover more than half of the annual energy consumption.
The photovoltaic system is installed on a roof the size of a football field and consists of more than 1,000 solar modules. Together they generate an annual production of 256,000 kWh; This saves about 114 tons of greenhouse gases2 Avoid it.
The €400,000 facility is part of a comprehensive initiative through which Verder Scientific intends to become climate neutral in the medium term. Suitable photovoltaic systems are also being prepared at branches in Mammelzen in the Rhineland-Palatinate, in Neuhausen in Württemberg and in Golling in Austria. In addition to using renewable energies, the company also plans to improve overall consumption and energy-saving measures and wants to focus more on emission-free mobility. Dr. says.
