“eye contact”
“EYE Connect'' is a web application that predicts the future orbit of the ''EYE'' satellite and allows you to experience the space scene that ''EYE'' actually sees. It is said that everyone can experience eye contact while flying through space from their own devices.
Furthermore, users can simulate satellite operation by timing shooting while looking at the “eye” position and camera angle reproduced in the app. No specialized knowledge is needed to operate “EYE Connect''. In order to make it easier for people to experience the universe, which is often seen as something out of the ordinary, in everyday life,STAR SPHERE official websiteIt was published in
We will start recruiting participants for the Space Photography Experience from February 2024!
We'll be starting a limited-time service called Space Photography Experience where you can actually send shooting instructions to Al Ain and take photos from space. Users themselves can use EYE Connect to simulate EYE's position in outer space while requesting a camera shutter release location, and a space image captured by EYE will be mailed to them at a later date.
In space photography, photographs may be taken that differ from the intended image due to the wrong shooting angle or weather conditions, but even such chance views can be used as expressions of the universe and Earth as seen by the eye on that day. It is said that it is irreplaceable. You can experience the excitement of waiting for the photo to see what EYE was looking at on the day the photo was taken.
The first “space imaging experiment” is scheduled to include 30 groups by March 2024, and recruitment will begin on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. The company plans to begin recruiting additional participants for the experiment in 2024.

An animated space experience presented by STAR SPHERE
There are also plans to hold several “space moving experiences” that will connect you with the universe. Share your thoughts about space and Earth with many people through space photography by starry sky photographer KAGAYA with “EYE,” “Children’s Earth Photography Project” scheduled at the planetarium, and “Space Perspective Exhibition” on the official website. Planning has also begun.
The first model, EYE, is scheduled to reach the end of its life in fiscal year 2024. In order to allow as many people as possible to easily experience the feeling of being connected to space, “STAR SPHERE” will continue to expand the circle of space animation experiences through various activities including operating “EYE”. It is said that
What is Star Sphere?
“STAR SPHERE” is a project to make space familiar to everyone and discover the “space perspective” together. By enjoying the things, objects and cultures around us from a “cosmic perspective”, we aim to create a world where everyday life and the future of the Earth can be enriched.
As a first step, in January 2023, in cooperation with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and the University of Tokyo, we successfully developed and launched the “EYE” small satellite equipped with a Sony camera. The company plans to work on new experiences that connect it to the universe through EYE photography.
