SLM Solutions Expands 3D Printing Portfolio: SLM Solutions, a 3D printing company based in Lübeck, Germany, announces the acquisition of additive manufacturing technology from Adira AddCreative in. With this move, SLM Solutions aims to further diversify its range for a wide variety of 3D printing applications.

Integration of innovative technologies

Adira AddCreative, based in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, has made a name for itself with its Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion technology based on the Fraunhofer ILT solution. The system, which supports up to 12 lasers and a building area of ​​1m x 1m, fits harmoniously into the existing range of SLM. It positions itself between the NXG XII 600 series and the recently introduced large format 3D printing system from SLM.

Adira AddCreative technology has been reported to provide additional flexibility and cost effectiveness. Especially in industries such as aerospace, energy and defense, this technology can open many doors.
