TUF Dash F15 is a new gaming laptop from TUF Dash F15 AsusWhich in addition to good performance thanks RTX The 3070’s graphics also draw attention to its sleek exterior. Our colleague thinks this makes them perfect for gaming on the go John KnappWho tested the notebook.
Discreet gaming notebook
The case of the Asus TUF Dash F15 is mostly made of plastic, only the lid is made of aluminum. This is emblazoned with the exact manufacturer’s logo, otherwise the notebook is somewhat invisible. There is no colorful bling bling, the keyboard is backlit in one color only. However, a look at the keyboard reveals that it’s a gaming laptop: the WASD keys are white and thus stand out from the other black keys. A number pad and touchpad are also available below the keys. Asus has installed a 15.6-inch matte IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz in the TUF Dash F15. The core is Intel Core i7-12650H, a processor with ten cores and a frequency of 2.3 GHz. This is powered by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070. There is also 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 512MB SSD, the storage space of which can be expanded via a free M.2 SSD slot. The compact laptop scores 8,773 points in the TimeSpy benchmark. Performance should be enough for almost every current game.
Many contact options
If you value as many connectivity options as possible, the Asus TUF Dash F15 should satisfy you: In addition to power delivery, there’s an Ethernet port, HDMI 2.0b, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Thunderbolt 4 and an audio port. Unfortunately, there is no SD card reader. The front camera is placed in the middle and has a resolution of 720p.
