Shah Rukh Khan in Hirani entertainer

The much-anticipated theatrical release of ‘Dunki’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has been released on digital platforms. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 21, 2023. The trailer has ‘Hirani Mark’ written all over it.

Set in 1995 in the small town of Lalto in Punjab, the story revolves around Hardial Singh Dhillon, also known as Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan), a wrestler, and his four friends – Manu (Taapsee), Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal). Buju (Vikram Kochhar) and Bali (Anil Grover) – who embark on a trip to London.

All four friends will have problems speaking English. There are many jokes about the same. However, they joined an English training center, but after a lot of struggle, they decided to move to London illegally. The resolution of their journey unfolds on the big screens. Shah Rukh Khan will be making two appearances in the film.

The film is produced by Gauri Khan and Rajkumar Hirani under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Rajkumar Hirani Films and Jio Studios, with music composed by Pritam.
