Schindler has equipped CapitaSpring, one of the tallest and greenest buildings in Singapore, with the latest vertical mobility solutions, including 25 elevators with Schindler PORT technology for improved visitor flows.
Schindler Lifts serve 51 floors of office and serviced apartment buildings in Singapore’s financial district. Thanks to facial recognition and turnstiles controlled by QR codes, you can move around the building offline. Schindler Port’s transportation management solution improves visitor flows, wait times and therefore energy consumption as well. Autonomous cleaning robots are also connected to building elevators and access systems.
Designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group in collaboration with Carlo Ratti Associati, the CapitaSpring Building is now part of the Singapore skyline. The “Green Oasis”, a 100-meter-high park, sets new standards for office design. The building has received the Green Mark Platinum Award from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) – one of Singapore’s highest sustainability awards.
“This is an exciting project for us in Singapore, where the sustainability of existing and new buildings is becoming increasingly important,” said Robert Sikens, Schindler Executive Committee member responsible for the Asia Pacific region. “Schindler technology is instrumental in enabling people to move around this new landmark smoothly, efficiently, and safely.”
