Saltworks Fab relies on 3D printing technology for metal desktops

American company Saltworks FabClassic car restoration specialist Saltworks is investing in new manufacturing technologies: Saltworks recently installed two 3D printer manufacturer “Figure G15” digital sheet metal printing machines at its Florida headquarters. Metal desktop.

According to Saltworks President David Jacobsen, metal 3D printers allow for faster and more flexible production of spare parts and body parts that are no longer available for older vehicle models. The company has already displayed a complete Mercedes side panel at a trade show. This can be done using a 3D printer in less than 10 hours.

Jacobsen also sees new digital sheet-forming printers as an opportunity to make sheet metal production more accessible to a wider range of customers. Small workshops, design agencies, or self-build companies can benefit from additive technology.
