Rugged and portable SSD announced

Asus recently announced the TUF Gaming AS1000, a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD that’s compatible with PCs, laptops, and the latest gaming consoles. The model is said to be particularly durable and has passed the US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H drop test and IP68 water and dust protection test. In addition, the SSD should convince with its innovative cooling properties and fast data transfer.

Fast and powerful portable SSD

According to the manufacturer, the TUF Gaming AS1000 should achieve read and write speeds of up to ten gigabits per second. This should make it up to ten times faster than traditional external hard drives. The AS1000 also comes with 1 TB of storage. TUF Gaming AS1000 uses a single USB-C port and is compatible with mobile devices, laptops, PCs, the latest consoles from Sony and Microsoft, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The SSD has undergone a series of rigorous durability tests, including the US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H drop test and IP68 water and dust resistance test. The aluminum alloy shell is not only shockproof, but also must be able to effectively dissipate the heat generated by the thermal pad.

With the built-in SSD Dashboard software, users can monitor important information such as SSD temperature, memory status, and more.
