Masdar City in Abu Dhabi is considered a pioneering project for sustainability and renewable energies. This “first carbon dioxide neutral science city” is powered primarily by renewable energy sources. Linz-based Ruble Master Group (RM) plays a crucial role in this project, which began in 2008: Masdar City Services recently invested again in RM’s mobile crushers and screens.
Linz / Abu Dhabi. The Masdar City project began in 2008 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is viewed globally as a model of sustainability and green energy. Many famous companies and institutes, including the RM Group from Linz, are involved in the planning and construction of this “Zero CO2 City”. Masdar City is particularly distinguished for its pioneering role in the field of construction waste recycling.
Renewal of investment in Linz companies
RM Group from Upper Austria provides mobile solutions for recycling building materials. Although fixed facilities are primarily used to process construction waste in the UAE, Masdar City Services has once again invested in mobile solutions. “Confidence in our technology and long-term partnership has led Masdar City Services to invest again in crushers and screens from Linz,” emphasized Gerald Hanisch, Managing Director of RM Group. Mobile systems enable flexible and quick site changes on construction sites, and feature low-emission drive technology.
Used in road construction
RM machines are mainly used for crushing and screening concrete, which is used in the construction of roads and walkways within an area of six square kilometers. Because of Masdar City’s narrow, shaded layout, typical of traditional Arab settlements, the city benefits from low noise and dust levels through maneuverable machinery. Christian Windhager, RM’s Regional Sales Director for the Middle East, Africa, Spain and Portugal, sees great potential in Saudi Arabia.
RM Group has been active in Saudi Arabia since 2012
RM Group has been active there since 2012 and has already exported 50 RM systems there. “With our devices, we focus on sustainable practices and show how resources can be used efficiently and building materials reused. In this way, we are shaping a sustainable future and demonstrating the principles of the circular economy outside Europe as well,” he emphasizes. Wind bearer. RM machines are being used in many prestigious projects in Saudi Arabia, including the construction of Riyadh City Centre, King Salman Park and the pioneering mega project NEOM.
