Neuchâtel – On Friday, Niederdeutsche Bühne Neuenburg invites the audience on an exciting journey through time into the heart of the 1970s. An evening full of music, nostalgia and happy memories awaited visitors at the sold-out Neeborger Vereenshuus.

From the archives: “Low German is a humorous and colorful language”

As soon as we entered the theater, the atmosphere was noticeably upbeat. Some spectators were dressed in appropriate 1970s-style clothing. Because: Under the professional direction of Hamburg composer Philipp Losbrink, Niederdeutsche Bühne Neuenburg presented the “Love Festival”, a colorful mixture of hits and popular pop songs of the era.

Players embody the zeitgeist

This turned out to be not just a classic theater piece as much as a musical experience that delighted the audience with nostalgic elements like bell bottoms and colorful floral dresses. The unrelated story was skilfully brought to life by a cast of 16 talented actors, who, under Lucebrink's direction, sparkled in the ever-changing songs and dance performances.

The author and director, who has performed in Neuchâtel several times, was also visibly impressed and happy: “I think it's very wonderful that here we have a live band and such committed actors and actresses. Here, actors from 17 to 80 years old stand on stage.” ” This means that German lowlife theater can realize its full potential thanks to the excellent promotion of young talent, with young people born far beyond the 1970s dancing and dancing. Singing on stage nevertheless still convincingly reflects the spirit of the times.

Dalli-Dalli and Hit Parade

A highlight of the production was undoubtedly the four-piece live band Cordias, who professionally accompanied all of the cast's songs and thus supported the musical fireworks on stage. The elaborate stage design, featuring colorful peril flowers, large classic patterns on the wallpaper and a disco ball, reflects the zeitgeist of the 1970s and transports the audience to a bygone era.
