Blue Bear Ventures Overview

BBV is a technology-focused deep seed fund created by the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) accelerating CITRIS. With the mission of social implementation of technology emerging from the university, we not only invest in startups but also actively create business with LP companies. We have a network that can invest in the start-up period of top-tier university launched projects in the fields of bioenergy, energy, new materials, etc., and we are actively working on joint investments and follow-up with all of the leading American venture capital.

The main investment destinations of BBV
BBV invests in many projects from top universities in the United States, such as University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.

• Ayar Labs, which develops optical chips that dramatically increase the processing speed of high-performance computing systems using technology from DARPA (U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency)
• Unp.xyz aims to develop new therapeutic agents for 70% of the currently incurable human genome by designing a data-driven algorithm
• Coreshell Technologies develops new liquid-deposited nano-layers for lithium-ion batteries

We invest in real technology projects aimed at solving global problems using innovative technologies.

Investment purpose
The Real Tech Global Fund invests and supports real technology projects primarily in Southeast Asia. While supporting funding and research for each company, we will not only cooperate with commercial companies and research institutes in Southeast Asia and Japan, but also develop a deep technology investor and research investor support environment in the United States, which has expanded rapidly in recent years. I was looking for a partner who could do that.
BBV has held discussions as a companion with great affinity with Real Tech in fund philosophy and investment strategy, and has held discussions by investing in the newly launched fund (Blue Bear Ventures Fund II). As a strategic partner, we will enhance support for existing investment destinations in R&D, fundraising, etc.
