Rainbow Six Siege: “CONTAINMENT 2” limited-time event with “R6 Extraction”/REACT theme is being held and the Protean's “Nest Destruction” mode is now available

Ubisoft is holding a limited-time “CONTAINMENT 2” event for “Rainbow Six Siege” until April 17.

This is a reprint of an event based on the PvE shooter “Rainbow Six Extraction”, an additional version of Siege. During this period, you can play the “Nest Destruction” mode where you split into a PROTEAN team and a REACT team and compete against each other.

“R6S” event “CONTAINMENT2” is being held.

CONTAINMENT 2, which runs through April 17, is based on the world of Rainbow Six Extraction, a cooperative online PvE shooter. This is a reprint of the event held in August 2021.

Operators wear the familiar REACT team uniforms of “Extraction” and engage in a battle for the nest against the enemy team, which has transformed into a mysterious life form, the Proteans.

Limited mode “Destroy the Nest”

The limited mode “Nest Destruction” will be introduced at the event. This is a 5v5 game played on an old, renovated “Consulate” map, where the attacker's goal is to destroy the nest, and the defender's goal is to defend it.

The nest consists of a group of two small nests and a “shield nest” which may also be called the main body. The Shield Nest is invincible at the start of the round, but the Shield Nest can be destroyed by destroying both small nests.

Attackers can use regular clients and their unique tools. Use a drone to locate small nests and create a path to destruction. Explosives such as grenades and Flores can also be used later, but the nest has high health and cannot be destroyed with just one.

The Defender has no weapons, only melee attacks. On the other hand, his health is high at 650 and he can also do remadash. It is weak when looking out the window or facing a REACT team from a distance, but is very useful in tight areas or waiting around corners. Let us fight while recognizing the sense of distance.

Limited-time items and packs

65 types of limited items are also available for the “CONTAINMENT2” event. 7 agents dressed as REACT team and 7 agents transformed into PROTEANS. Also includes decks, magic, portraits, and card backgrounds.

In addition to the reprints, Hibana and Zofia have been newly added to the REACT team. Bandit and Mozzie join the Protean team.

One of these items will randomly appear from the Containment Pack that can be exchanged for Fame Points or R6 Credits (package contents are not duplicated). If you only want a specific item, you can purchase it individually from the in-game store.

If you log into the game during the event period, you will receive one Containment Pack for free. You can unlock them yourself from the bottom of the CONTAINMENT Collection page in the in-game store.

Additionally, event challenges will appear each week in the Challenges tab of the Battle Pass menu. By completing it, you will receive the Containment Pack and Battle Points.

In Nest Destruction mode, it is easier to understand the strengths of the attacker and defender, and managing risks is easier than in normal mode. It's a mode that even new players can easily play, so try playing “CONTAINMENT 2” during this period.
