PS5 game 'Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown' announced… 'Recreating the real car buying experience' set in Hong Kong

3goo will release the PlayStation 5 version of the open world racing game “Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown” on September 12, 2024. This game is set in Hong Kong Island where you can experience buying and customizing cars in a realistic way.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is the first new game in 13 years since its predecessor, Test Drive Unlimited 2, and it once again attracts attention as an open-world MMO racing game. Players can purchase and customize different cars while freely exploring Hong Kong Island.

The in-game “Dealer” recreates the real car buying experience. Players can visit the dealership, take a test drive, check the specifications, and find the perfect car for them. After purchasing, you can customize your car in the “Maintenance Shop” and make the paint, interior, wheels, etc. to your liking.

“We have realistically recreated the experience of buying a car in-game,” said creative director Alain Garneau. “Players can interact with other players, customize their cars and participate in races.”

In addition, there are 14 specialized dealers from around the world in Hong Kong Island, offering a wide range of models to choose from, from luxury cars like Lamborghini and Ferrari to off-road vehicles. Players can create their own unique car and test its performance in races.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown takes place in a realistic setting on Hong Kong Island, where you can drive through a variety of locations, including old alleys, huge highways, mountain passes, and beaches. You can collect cars from famous manufacturers and enjoy them in solo or multiplayer.

The regular edition of this work costs 7,200 yen (7,920 yen including tax) and will be released as a bundled edition and a download version for the PlayStation 5.
