Pre-release Brahmastra demo introduces many ‘Ancient Indian Astras’

Just days ago Brahmastra‘s Director Ayan Mukerji participated in a pre-release promo for the film. The more than a minute video introduces viewers to many of the film’s characters including Amitabh Bachchan, Moni Roy, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Nagarjuna. The video begins with Mouni Roy, who is searching for Brahmastra, and moves on to Amitabh Bachchan, who shares a secret with Ranbir Kapoor, giving him the responsibility to save the world. Ultimately, the promo introduces its viewers to many of the “ancient Indian astras”, including Nandi Astra, Vanarastra, Prabhastra, Bawanastra, Jajastra, Nag Dhanush, Jallastra and Agniastra. Ayan Mukerji shared the promo on his Instagram on Saturday.

Ian Mukerji Brahmastra Part One: Shiva It is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 9. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. Ranbir plays Shiva, who according to the makers of the film is a DJ. Ranbir shares a unique bond with fire, which makes him a special character in Ayan’s dream project.

Brahmastra, which has been in talks since 2014, will have a three-part edition. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu around the world on September 9.

On Friday, the parents, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, along with co-stars Nagarjuna and Moni Roy, visited the pre-release event of the film in Hyderabad. Actor Jr NTR was also present at the event as the main guest. Director and Producer Karan Johar and SS Rajamouli were also present at the venue.
