The American company NZXT, already famous for its computer boxes, is celebrating its debut in the game show with two models. The Canvas 27Q (27-inch) and Canvas 32Q (31.5-inch) have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD), achieve a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz and eliminate stuttering with the help of FreeSync Premium.
The 27-inch is flat and uses IPS, while the 31.5-inch comes with a 1500R curvature and what appears to be a VA panel. The latter is still unclear, as the datasheet reports a contrast ratio of 1000:1, which is more common for IPS, which should actually be 2500:1 or 3000:1 for VA. We are currently checking with the responsible German press office for clarification.
Other key data for the innovations is pretty much the same: 8-bit color depth, 300 cd/m², 99 percent sRGB and HDR10 support are offered. In addition, there is talk of a response time of 1 ms – whether this indicates a gray change or the specification of the MPRT is unclear from the information material. We’re currently trying to find out, too. On the connectivity side, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, DisplayPort 1.2, a USB 3.0 hub, a headphone output and USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate mode.
Canvas screens are available in different colors (black, white, black and white) and can be optionally with or without a stand. Alternatively, the monitor arm (single or double) can also be reserved on request. subordinate NZXT 27Q Canvas Available from € 409 directly from the manufacturer, while available for NZXT 32Q Cloth At least €499 will be due. By the way, both products have blue-light filtering, flicker-free backlighting, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm) and a three-year warranty.
