New LED FE3 series with flip chip technology

New LED FE3 series with flip chip technology

Sharp NEC display solutions in Europe Introducing the new LED FE3 series with energy-saving SMD chip technology, which effectively reduces the power consumption of displays. The product will be presented at ISE 2024.

The new FE3 series is ideal for indoor use in various application scenarios such as meetings and conferences, in command and control centres, as well as in educational and entertainment facilities.

The 3rd generation FE Series modules and packages are also equipped with energy-efficient flip-chip SMD technology, which consumes up to 60% less power than traditional SMD technology with the same brightness. The use of the FE3 series contributes to achieving sustainability goals while reducing energy costs. The innovative SMD design of the foldable chip also improves heat dissipation and increases the service life of the modules, which has a positive impact on the overall sustainability of the series.

The FE3 Series also features a mechanical frame design that ensures precise alignment of the units and enables frameless viewing of large areas. Due to its light weight, the FE3 Series is suitable for free-standing and wall-mounted integrations, and is easy to install – and maintenance is particularly easy thanks to front-mounted service options.

The series design creates a continuous image surface without annoying transitions and is complemented by an 8000:1 contrast ratio, deep black level and excellent color reproduction with a wide viewing angle. The result is an indoor shooting experience with vivid clarity and detail.

“With its innovative foldable SMD chip technology, the FE3 Series not only represents a breakthrough in terms of energy efficiency, but also underscores Sharp/NEC’s commitment to sustainable and innovative display solutions,” says Nils Dietge, Product Manager, dvLED Solutions, Sharp NEC Display.
