Hardware manufacturer Asrock introduces new gaming monitors from the Phantom gaming range. The PG34WQ15R2B is a 34-inch WQHD monitor that comes with a Wi-Fi antenna for the first time, while the 27-inch PG27FF1A serves the FHD range.
Anyone looking for new gaming monitors can find what they are looking for at Asrock. The well-known hardware giant from Taiwan is launching two new models of its Phantom gaming brand, one of which is the first of its line of projectors, which Asrock says has a built-in Wi-Fi antenna. This is the WQHD PG34WQ15R2B gaming monitor, which has a diagonal of 34 inches. The second new model in the lineup is the PG27FF1A Full HD monitor, which brings 27 inches to the table and has fewer features.
PG34WQ15R2B – Curved Gaming Monitor with Wi-Fi Antenna
The first new Phantom gaming monitor PG34WQ15R2B comes with a WQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. According to the manufacturer, the curvature of the VA plate is 1500R, and the viewing angle is 178 degrees. Furthermore, Asrock sets the controversial Millisecond Interaction Time (MPRT). In terms of color and brightness, the PG34WQ15R2B covers 91 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and 115 percent of the sRGB color space. The brightness should also be 550 cd/m² and the contrast ratio should be 3000:1.
PG27FF1A – Less exciting younger brother
The second monitor from the Asrock dummy gaming lineup is the 27-inch PG27FF1A, which features a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and shares many specs with the 34-inch monitor. The PG27FF1A is based on a flat IPS panel and is said to achieve 250 cd/m² brightness with a 1100:1 contrast. As far as color space coverage is concerned, according to the manufacturer, the PG27FF1A outperforms the WQHD model by 94 percent DCI-P3 and 123 percent sRGB. Instead of DisplayHDR 400, HDR10 should be used, while the PG27FF1A cannot be adjusted in height and should weigh half the PG34WQ15R2B at 4.48 kg. In the end, the viewport only meets the 1.2 standard.
