Mouse Bungee “VAXEE ORYZA” BEHIND THE SCENES DEVELOPMENT – Negitaku.org esports

Mouse Bungee “VAXEE ORYZA” BEHIND THE SCENES DEVELOPMENT – Negitaku.org esports

VAXEE provided us with an episode on the development of the mouse bungee game “VAXEE ORYZA”.

The “VAXEE ORYZA” differs from the general mouse bungee in that it has a mechanism that rotates at the end to release the sway when the cord is pulled left and right by the movement of the mouse.

In addition, the spring part is short and has a smooth texture that makes the wire less noticeable.

A more detailed explanation can be found in the video below.

VAXEE provided behind-the-scenes episodes that are not presented in this video.
This is posted below.

Some of the products we have developed so far are designed so that the base of the doglegged part rotates as well.
However, when I actually tried it, the springy part at the tip didn’t work at all, and only the curved part moved round.

A rubber sheet is attached to the bottom of the base, and the same rubber sheet as the PA rubber sheet is currently used.

Compared to the mouse bungee that the VAXEE development team has developed so far, it is much less slippery, but originally we were planning to use the same silicone pad as the PB here. However, when we were developing, we couldn’t solve the problem of PB, and the performance was more than enough with the PA rubber sheet, so we used the PA rubber sheet.

In early mouse bungees developed and sold by VAXEE employees, the tip would sometimes snap off if that part was used too long. This part now has grooves cut into the contact area between the spring and the rubber tip, which makes it very durable.

Bearings may seem superfluous at first glance, but they play an important role in the ORYZA mechanism. In previous mouse jumps, when the spring at the edge of the mouse pad was bent, there was nowhere for the force to escape, and the cable was pulled as it was, so the tension of the cable was transferred to the hand.

On the ORYZA, however, the bearing itself takes on tension by smoothly rotating the cable tension, so you can only feel it if the tension that comes to your hand is focused.

At first, we planned to use one high-quality bearing, but due to the structure of the bearing, even with a high-quality bearing, there will be a gap to ensure smooth movement, so we decided to use two. Originally, we were planning to use NSK bearings (as shown in the ORYZA video).

Due to the nature of the product, the Mouse bungee is a product that has been bought and liked once, and it will not be replaced for a while, or it will not be replaced again.

In order to avoid ORYZA breaking in a short period of time and using it for a long time, we designed a groove mechanism at the tip of ORYZA and a two-step clamping method (for spring clamping). The part where the spring is fixed in the groove and the upper part is covered with a screw, etc.), we have adopted very durable mechanism everywhere even in the cost increase.

In fact, there was another prototype besides ORYZA, and there was one with very long springs attached to the base that VAXEE staff had developed. However, regardless of the length of the spring, tension is generated when the spring is bent.

“VAXEE” has released a video of a mouse bungee in development, and the final test of a wireless mouse is also underway
