Modernizing machine safety was the goal of Wassermann Technologie. The company revised the storage and loading system of the mounting platforms, which allows automatic loading and unloading of machine tools. The safety technology can now be installed via plug and play.

Wassermann Technologie, located in Eichenzell near Fulda, offers the Work-S series for modernizing old machine tools with automated loading and unloading. These are storage and loading systems for fixing pallets that are mounted on the machine tool.

Automation of machine tools based on a modular system

About 25 years ago, Wassermann, then under the name HPI, started developing tool changers and has since supplied tool magazines and complete tool change systems to well-known OEMs such as DMG Mori, Index-Werke and many others. Automation of machine tools has now become a separate business area. Leading machine tool manufacturers have included terminals – as Wassermann calls them – in their range and thus advanced the automation business. Wassermann designs each terminal individually on the basis of a modular system.
