Tigist Assefa took off her shoes at the finish line of the Berlin Marathon and proudly raised them to the sky, as if she wanted to show the whole world that without this miracle, her world record might not have been possible. At the end of September, she covered 42.195 kilometers in 2:11:53 hours, defending her title in the capital and beating Brigid Kosgei’s previous world record by two minutes. There couldn’t have been a better ad for Adidas’s new shoe with the rather strange name ‘Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1’. The internet went crazy, the photo was shared millions of times, and most importantly, one question was debated in the comment columns: Where can I buy this supposed miracle shoe?
