Not only members of the local fire department, but also representatives of politics and administration as well as many guests gathered in front of the fire station in Unterlüß today to celebrate the official handover of the new TLF 3000 fire engine. Attendees included not only fellow firefighters, but also members of the Youth Fire Department, community leadership directors and other guests of honor such as the community fire chief from Eschede, Ulf Heinemann, and local mayors Kurt Wilkes and Heinfried Meyer from Lauterloh. .
The car, proudly decorated with a large wreath, was flanked by its predecessor, the LF 10, which was also presented again in a modest setting due to the circumstances linked to the pandemic.
In her speech, Mayor Katharina Ebeling emphasized the importance of the fire department to the community and praised the efforts of the firefighters who ensure the safety of residents every day. Equipped with the latest technology and a MAN 18t chassis as well as a Ziegler chassis, the new TLF 3000 is a significant improvement in equipment and will provide firefighters with greater safety during their operations.
In his speech, Municipal Fire Chief Henning Sander stressed the importance of fire engines and thanked all participants for the smooth purchase of the new vehicle. Through careful planning and cooperation, the TLF 3000 can finally be put into service.
Local Fire Chief Ralph Hoffenbach also emphasized the ease of use of the new vehicle and praised the cooperation of all concerned. He particularly stressed the commitment of his deputy, “Bolly”, who made a significant contribution to the realization of the project.
Thomas Schlicht, Deputy Municipal Fire Chief and District Fire Chief Volker Bross also warmly congratulated the Unterlüß Fire Department on their new vehicle and pointed out the importance of modern equipment for safety in the region.
The vehicle handover ceremony was a successful event with young and old coming together to enjoy the new vehicle and celebrate together. It was a day that impressively emphasized the importance of the fire department to the community and one that will be remembered by all who attended.
