I toyed with the idea of getting a new PC for the past few years and kept putting it off. But now it must really be something, because my current 980 is so overwhelmed with so many games. What is certain is that I’m going to get an RTX 4090 and I’d definitely like RGB lighting that can be preferably controlled via software (Mystic Light, Aura Sync, etc) as often as it can be set up. I also configured something myself and will write it here. First of all, I’m not the best when it comes to knowing hardware, so I’m looking forward to your suggestions for improvement and additions.
1. Do you want to play on PC? If the answer is yes, then what?
Yes, Warzone, Escape from Tarkov, Flight Simulator
2. Do you want to use the computer to edit photos/music/videos or something similar? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software will you use?
number
3. Do you have special requirements or wishes (specific brands and manufacturers, overclocking, a particularly quiet PC, RGB lighting, …)?
RGB lighting is best controlled via software.
4. How many and how many screens do you want to use? Model, resolution, refresh rate (hertz)? Gsync / FreeSync?
a 4k at 144 Hz and WQHD at 144 Hz
5. Do you still have an old computer, parts of which can be reused?
(please with links or exact model name)
No
6. How much money do you want to spend?
about 4,000
7. When should I buy a PC?
In mid-February
8. Do you want to assemble the computer yourself or have it assembled (by the shop or by helpers (list as sticky))?
Collect it yourself with help
9. Do you want to stream your content with your PC (eg via Twitch/OBS)? If so, what games/content? Do you already have the parts to set up the stream? (multiple screens, microphone, camera, broadcast device, …)?

my configuration
Housing: Be quiet! Pure Base 500 DX, thought it was nice and should also have relatively good airflow, but you can also suggest others.
-CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K, I’m not sure if the processor is enough or if I should go higher to 13700K.
– Graphics Card: RTX 4090, probably Zotac AMP Extreme Airo, because according to another forum, it performs better when it comes to beeping or annoying fans.
-CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360, I’d rather have a monitor, even if it’s just a gimmick, maybe someone knows someone to recommend. The only important thing is that AIO is relatively quiet.
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB DDR5-6000 I don’t think there’s much to be promised here.
Hard Disk: Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus 250GB for Windows, WD Black SN850X 2TB for Games, etc.
Motherboard: None yet, can anyone recommend a good Z790?
Power Supply: None yet, would you say it had to be ATX 3.0, or would you go with the adapter cables?
I hope my compilation isn’t too bad.
Warm welcome
Marcel
