Jonathan Majors is sued for assaulting Grace Jabbari, his ex-girlfriend

Jonathan Majors has been sued by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, for assault, battery, and defamation in incidents dating back to between 2021 and 2023. Last December, Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault against Jabbari in a March 2023 altercation in New York City.

They moved into a London apartment together while filming the second season of Marvel's Loki in 2022. In the lawsuit, Jabbari alleges that she experienced physical and emotional abuse and controlling behavior while they were dating, and that Majors would threaten to harm her. During another incident in London in 2022, the lawsuit alleges, “Majors pushed Grace so hard that she bruised her buttocks. When Grace got up, she tried to leave the house. Majors then forcefully grabbed Grace, placed her in a headlock and placed his hand over her mouth to prevent anyone from hearing her screams for help. Majors then began hitting Grace's head on the marble floor while choking her until she felt like she could no longer breathe.

The lawsuit also includes text messages between the couple in which Majors convinced Al-Jabbari not to seek medical help and threatened to kill himself. Portions of these transcripts were used in the December 2023 trial, although they were only allowed as background information and not as evidence related to the March 2023 altercation.

Majors is scheduled to be sentenced next month due to his conviction in December 2023. In the wake of his conviction, Marvel fired him from his villainous role as Kang the Conqueror, and his bodybuilding film “Magazine Dreams” was removed from Searchlight's release calendar. Although his acting career has taken a turn following his conviction, he recently attended the NAACP Awards ceremony last weekend with his girlfriend, Meagan Good.
