Anyone who owns an Apple Watch and uses Spotify Premium can save music using Apple Smart Watch storage and listen to it without the need for a nearby iPhone.
This is because SpotFi now allows content to be downloaded on the Apple Watch: playlists, albums and podcasts. The range is, of course, available on the clock.
Although this may not be an issue for newer versions (The Apple Watch Series6, SE and the latest Nike is 32GB), users of older versions should better manage the available space: Apple has only 3, 8GB of the series still on sale.
To download songs, you need to open the app on iPhone or iPod, touch the three dots on the screen of each playlist, album or podcast, and then ‘Download to Apple Watch’ / ‘Download to Apple Watch’.
“After downloading the library’s playlists, albums or podcasts, a small green arrow appears next to the names,” says Spotify. This feature may not be available yet, as it is part of an update that will be released “in the next few weeks”.
This update is very useful for Apple Watch users and those who listen to music while playing games as they no longer have to carry their iPhone to the gym or to the gym.
