The professor, born in 1965, studied computational physics and obtained his doctorate at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen. Currently, among other things, he holds the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, responsible for its strategic direction.
KIT is one of Germany's distinguished universities and is unique in its form because the university and the large research center merge with each other. About 22,300 people study natural sciences, engineering, economics, humanities and social sciences at KIT. There are also about 9,800 employees.
