Infineon Technologies AG is investing in industrial analytics software for a Berlin startup.
Thus, Infineon is strengthening its software and services business in the use of artificial intelligence for predictive analysis of machines and industrial facilities. Infineon owns more than 100% of the shares in the company. It was agreed not to disclose the investment amount.
“Industrial Analytics has outstanding competencies in the field of predictive analysis of industrial machines and facilities using artificial intelligence,” said Peter Wawer, Head of Industrial Power Control at Infineon. “Together we want to expand the industrial analytics business and in the future we will offer Infineon’s industrial customers new AI solutions that complement our semiconductor portfolio.”
“Together with Infineon, we can accelerate our growth trajectory in recent years,” said Anja Vedder, co-founder and managing director of Industrial Analytics. “With Infineon, not only are we gaining an important partner, but we are also gaining access to Infineon’s system knowledge as a leading semiconductor company. We will benefit greatly from this.”
Industrial Analytics develops solutions based on artificial intelligence, for example to monitor systems and identify critical developments at an early stage. For example, vibrations are analyzed and evaluated. AI solutions from industrial analytics not only evaluate data for predictive maintenance of systems, but also make recommendations for action (predictive maintenance).
