The professional-grade DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel used by professional video editors and colorists is now available from video equipment manufacturer Blackmagic Design. Many color palettes are expensive, but I was able to borrow an actual DaVinci Resolve Micro Color palette, which is relatively inexpensive and can be used by connecting to a PC or iPad, so I can actually touch it.

To use the DaVinci Resolve Micro Color panel, start DaVinci Resolve and click the “Color” icon in the red frame at the bottom center of the screen. The color screen should look as shown below, with the color wheel displayed at the bottom left.
The trackball in the center of the DaVinci Resolve Micro Color panel lets you change lift, gamma, and gain from the left. By rotating the ring controller around the trackball, you can control contrast by adjusting the YRGB.
Each trackball controls the lift, gamma, and color gain wheels displayed at the bottom left of the DaVinci Resolve screen, and a ring controller controls contrast. You can change the color tone of your video by moving the trackball in the direction of each color.
The three buttons on top of the Gamma trackball in the middle of the three trackballs are buttons to reset the digital changes of lift, gamma, and gain. If you don't like it at all, just press this reset button to reset the changes.
The knobs can change Color Temperature, Hue, Contrast, Axis, Center, Enhance, Shade, High, Saturation, Hue, and Brightness M from the left. Changes can be reset by pressing the handle.
Color Temperature, Hue, Contrast, Axis, Medium, Enhance, Shade, High, Saturation, Hue, and Brightness M are arranged around a color wheel at the bottom left of the DaVinci Resolve screen.
The remaining keys are responsible for various shortcuts and operations, which are detailed in the DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel Quick Start Guide (PDF).
You can watch the video below to learn how to operate the DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel's trackball, knobs, ring controller, and switches.
