Gmail now lets you make audio and video calls

If you still do not see this feature, make sure you are using the latest version of the app. Google notes that this feature may take more than 15 days to reach all users and will be released gradually.

This new feature is available to all Google users, including Workspace, G Suite Basic and business clients and personal Google Accounts. This new feature makes Gmail a better communication app for all types of communications, rather than an application for managing emails. Google has also announced that users who click the “Add to Call” button in the Google chat app will be redirected to the Gmail app.
