Global survey finds concerns about rising costs of living, loneliness, technology and climate

A global poll of 50,000 people from 23 countries shows growing dissatisfaction with a range of issues

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, October 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — A global survey conducted by the nonprofit Future Investment Initiative (FII) and conducted in collaboration with Accenture was released today. It identifies issues important to citizens around the world.

The FII Priorities Compass is an annual research activity that surveys people from different age groups, backgrounds and countries, and the results of the study serve as a basis for developing policy and providing data to leaders, executives, policy makers and organizations.   • 20% decrease in personal life satisfaction compared to 2022
  • 65% are concerned about the cost of living and quality of life
  • 38% cite social isolation and lack of inclusion as the main concern
  • Pollution is a problem for 75% of participants
  • Globally, 44% expressed concern about health care costs
  • 72% of respondents say technology has democratized access to information, but 47% of Africans are concerned about misinformation
