I know I know. Many of you have a hard time putting up with the gossip at various game events, or the way MC Jeff Quigley kisses his buddies’ butts (especially when Hideo Kojima is around). And the often generic CGI trailers that reveal little about the game scream waste of time, too.
But maybe that’s exactly why I sit where I sit (in my home office) and do what I’ve been doing with great pleasure for many years (you know: editors for PC and video game zones), because I feel that anticipating childish tingle every year as June approaches. Finally new ads! New trailers! New gameplay! New information! In a relatively short time! Wonderful!
A Short Journey Through Time: This Is How It Was With These Trade Shows – The Old Times:
Summer 2022 event – dates in June
Although we have to Once again giving up E3 this yearWe still have a full schedule of events to look forward to in the coming weeks. Here is an overview of the most important dates in June:
What awaits us? Jeff Kelly reveals
The two most important dates from the list above are definitely the Xbox Show and Bethesda (Starfield Gameplay premiere?!) and the Summer Games Festival. At the event hosted by Geoff Keighley, as mentioned at the outset, many publishers and developers who are unable or unwilling to hold an event of their own are honored. Partners that have already been confirmed include:
- 2 K
- Activision Blizzard
- Capcom
- Devolver Digital
- riot
- Ubisoft
- Warner Bros.
- cooking media
- Motion vector
- EA
- Amazon Games
As in the past, the broker did again this time Via Twitter Ask to speak to give an outlook on the upcoming event. He explains that after last year’s experience, there will be fewer independent streaming events this year. On the other hand, fans were very disappointed that these small events did not have the character of a press conference. On the other hand, many studios/publishers only have one or two big projects to show. Not worth a separate stream for that. This takes advantage of events like Summer Game Fest, which can give these games a stage.
But Geoff Keighley also limits expectations: Players won’t see everything they hope for in June 2022. And we won’t expect an event that can rival E3. The Summer Games Festival is completely different. However, Medium promises that we can look forward to great gameplay (via play front).
