Dusseldorf SAP wants to develop digital assistants with the new generation of artificial intelligence (AI). These can answer questions about business data and provide recommendations for action in business process control software – in ERP technical jargon – “Artificial general intelligence will fundamentally change how people work with our software,” said spokesman Christian Klein of Handelsblatt.
As an additional focus, Klein identified far-reaching automation of business processes, for example in human resources. “In the future, the system should be able to configure itself and automate work steps,” he promised. SAP subsidiary Signavio is working with startup Aleph Alpha in this area.
