Gaming computer 1000-1300 euros | ComputerBase Forum

Welcome everyone,

Here are my requirements for the new system:

1. Do you want to play on PC?

  • What exactly are games? Currently: League of Legends, Diablo 3, The Witcher 3 Future: Cyberpunk, (Diablo 4)
  • Which Precision? Is Full HD (1920×1080) or WQHD (2560×1440) enough or should it be 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160)? WQHD, because I want to buy a new monitor with the new PC (extra budget)
  • Ultra/high/medium/low graphics settings? High to ultra would be awesome
  • 30 Is it enough for you? FPS Or should it be 60 or even 144 fps? 60 + FPS would be desirable

2. Would you like to use your computer to edit photos/music/videos or CAD? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software will you use?

3. Do you have special requirements or wishes (overclocking, a particularly quiet PC, RGB lighting, …)?

5. Do you still have an old computer, parts of which can be reused? (Please with links to specifications from the manufacturer or compare prices!)

  • Processor (CPU): Intel Xeon E3 1231 v3.0
  • Memory (RAM): 8 GB DDR3
  • Motherboard: ASRock H97 Pro4
  • Power supply: I can’t say exactly. However, the power pack has a 100% output of 550 watts.
  • Housing: Sharkoon 28 BD, blue acrylic window
  • Graphics Card: GTX 660 Ti
  • HDD / SSD: 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD

I don’t think you can use it anymore. The PC was assembled in 2014.

6. How much money do you want to spend?
About 1000-1300 Euro

7. When do you want to buy the computer? ASAP or can you wait a few weeks/months?
Preferably within the next two weeks.

8. Do you want to assemble the computer yourself or assemble it (by the store or by volunteers)?
I want to assemble this computer myself for the first time.

I would have based on AMD’s current CB recommendation of around €1,300 (https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-1314947).
Can I buy the kit like this or will it be too much for my needs?
How better would compilation be with an Intel CPU? (https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-1314948)
Thanks in advance for your support!
