Company Support Documents

Modern Windows 11 devices have features like Memory Integration and Virtual Machine Platform enabled by default, which can cause game performance to degrade in some environments. Microsoft provides mitigations on its support page.

Memory integrity is a security feature that ensures that all drivers loaded in an operating system are signed and trusted. Prevent the introduction of malicious code into highly privileged processes.

Also called Supervisor-Protected Code Integration (HVCI), this feature uses hardware virtualization technology internally. To use it, you need to enable the “Virtual Machine Platform” (VMP) of the operating system.

The company says it’s its responsibility to enable these features by default because security attacks are getting more sophisticated every day, and it has over a billion users. We also offer a way to temporarily disable these features if performance is a priority. However, it should be noted that doing so may render the device vulnerable to threats.

Options can be changed on the page[Device Security]-[Core Isolation]for the Windows Security app. Search for “Core Isolation” on the start screen.
