Dynatrace, the “Intelligent Software Company”, has formed a strategic technology alliance with Snyk to make software delivery more secure. Together, the two companies developed a DevSecOps Lifecycle Coverage application using the new Dynatrace AppEngine.
This app combines pre-production container scans from Snyk with AI-powered insights from the Dynatrace platform at production runtime. Detail and prioritize security vulnerabilities and development teams throughout the entire software lifecycle. In this way, security risks can be identified and addressed proactively.
According to a recent survey, 69 percent of CISOs say managing vulnerabilities has become more complex in modern software development. Development and security teams struggle to secure the number of applications in their environment and increase the frequency with which new versions are deployed. As a result, many applications are not adequately validated by security checks. Reducing these risks and staying agile requires consistent analyzes across the entire software lifecycle that identify vulnerabilities and enable proactive risk mitigation.
“The new DevSecOps Lifecycle Coverage application provides an overview of application security, from pre-production to the production runtime environment,” said Luca Dominella, Head of Cloud Operations and DevOps at Soldo. “Pre-production container scanning combined with AI-powered application uptime insights and analytics. This allows our teams to identify the origin of vulnerabilities in our multi-cloud ecosystem, automatically prioritize them based on the risks of each exposure, and use recommendations to proactively remediate them.”
