Dying Light 2: Stay Human: Update with New Game + Gets a Release Date

Earlier this month, Techland announced a new update for Dying Light 2: Stay Human later in April that will also bring a new Game+ mode into the zombie game. There is now more information and a specific release date.

So Techland closed the update to 1.3.0 today Dying Light 2: Stay Human Officially announced. The patch aims to fix a number of co-op issues, but also to introduce brand new end-game content that has been particularly popular in the community.

Above all, the New Game Mode + Game, which will be added as of April 27, 2022, should be mentioned in this context. The mode is then available to all players who have successfully completed the main game once. As usual with New Game + from other titles, you can then visit The City again, experience the story again and, for example, make different decisions than in the first round. You keep your character and items from the first round and you have to deal with newly scaled and higher difficulty opponents. New rewards are also offered in this regard.

But that’s not all, because New Game + will provide even more mods. There are 30 new inhibitors to find, hidden in less visible places to maximize your characters’ health and stamina. Far from the more difficult opponents due to their scaling, you can expect more challenging battles thanks to the new encounters with golden marks. These private encounters are designed to provide a real challenge for experienced pilgrims and are filled with special enemies of all kinds. In the new mission called “Something Big Happened Here” there are also new enemies waiting to surprise you with new and mutated attacks.

New challenges and encounters will reward you with a higher inventory of “legendary” weapons and valuables. For those of you who prefer collecting titles over prizes, Techland has added a new platinum parkour challenge medal based on top scores.

Besides the new features in update 1.3.0, Techland has also fixed a number of bugs related to the co-op mode, including some remaining “dead loops”. Added FOV slider for console players to change perspective (PS5 and Xbox Series X only).
