Counter-Strike 2 is the biggest technological advancement in Counter-Strike history, and our goal is to continue developing it into the future.

As technology evolves, we have made the difficult decision to end support for legacy hardware, including DirectX 9 and 32-bit operating systems. Likewise, support for macOS will also end. This leaves less than 1% of active CS:GO players.

From now on, Counter-Strike 2 will support 64-bit Windows and Linux exclusively.
If you can’t play Counter-Strike 2 on your current device, you can access the legacy version of CS:GO. Support for this version of CS:GO will end on January 1, 2024.

– CS2 cannot start because you are using DirectX 9 or a 32-bit version of Windows. Can I get a refund for a Master Status Upgrade?

Users of DirectX 9 or 32-bit versions of Windows should get a copy of Prime between the announcement of Counter-Strike 2 limited testing (March 22, 2023) and the release of Counter-Strike 2 (September 27, 2023). You will be eligible for a refund if you purchase a Status Upgrade.

CD keys, gifts and blocked accounts are not eligible for a refund.
