Class of ’09 is a crime thriller series about the use of artificial intelligence in the FBI

Something big is happening at the FBI in the trailer for the new FX original series Class 09. Series starring Brian Tyree Henry (Express trainAnd Atlanta) and Kate Mara (house of cards), appears to be a mystery crime show that follows a few different FBI agents of the same class. Other than that, the series hasn’t revealed many of its secrets yet.

The trailer shows us a few members of the FBI’s seemingly important graduating class, all of whom have been chosen for their backgrounds in fields other than law enforcement. What isn’t clear from the trailer, however, is what exactly will happen next. We seem to be seeing a few different changes in the time period, and we definitely see the character driven into some kind of larger conspiracy that seems to threaten them, or the state.

The description of the clip on YouTube offers some other clues, including a few hints on how the show should be structured:

Spanning several decades and told across interwoven timelines, the series examines the nature of justice and humanity and the choices we make that ultimately define our lives and legacy.

As for the specifics of how it all happened, or how the story comes together moment by moment, we’ll just have to wait until the series comes out next month.

Class 09 Created by Tom Rob Smith (london spy) and will premiere on Hulu starting May 10 with two episodes.
