Handler wrote, “It is with a heavy heart to announce that together we have decided that it is best for us to take a break from our relationship now.” “I know so many of you have been invested in our love, and I wanted to express to you how much it means to both of us. How much it still means. And how much I now believe in love for each of us.”
She also paid tribute to Koy.
“Being loved and loved by @jokoy has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. It renewed my faith in men, in love, for being 100% who I am, and I’ve never been more optimistic about the future,” she wrote.
Handler said to Koy directly, “It blew my mind off my creativity, my craving for hard work again, and being on the road again, and it reminded me of who I was and still am, and my feet weren’t so hard in the ground.”
Handler wrote, “This is not an end. It is another beginning, and it is comforting to know that I still love this man and I love this man as the sun loves the moon and the moon loves the sun. Your person is coming,” adding, “So, please keep looking for the root.” For both of us, because you never know what life will bring and let’s start first by going to the theater on August 5th to buy tickets for Joe’s new movie EASTER SUNDAY and Filipino PRIDE! Let’s go!”
Handler and Coy met over 20 years ago and often appeared on E! Show “Chelsea Recently.” When she revealed their relationship last year, Handler wrote, “I finally fell in love, with the best kind of guy out there. There is hope for everyone!”
