With Zoemini 2, Canon has introduced a new compact photo printer. The Japanese manufacturer describes the device in a statement as a “gem” that offers “pocket-sized photo fun.” The printer measures 12 x 8.4 x 2.15 cm and weighs 177 grams.
Users can operate the device via Bluetooth via the “Canon Mini Print” app – as well as decorate photos with text, frames and overlays. The compact printer can be fully charged in 50 minutes via the USB-C port – 40 minutes faster than the previous model. By the way, the Zoemini 2 continues to print while charging. The color LED status display is also new on this model.

For the printing process itself, Zoemini 2 does not need any ink, but the so-called zinc technology (zero ink). The special paper is coated with micro-crystals. The image is created when these interact with heating. Printed photos are smudge, water, and tear resistant – and the stickers are removable. This technology also eliminates the need to replace or dispose of empty ink cartridges.
Zoemini 2 will be available from the end of November for 115 Swiss francs (RRP). The device comes in three colors: rose gold, pearl white, and dark blue.
By the way, Canon has had a new distributor in Switzerland since August. Distributor Spandex has expanded its range and is now selling Canon printers in this country, you can read here.
