Singer Bebe Rexha was hit in the face with a phone while at a concert in New York City on Sunday, after someone at the concert fired a projectile at her.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter was playing a concert Sunday at The Rooftop at Pier 17 on her Best F’n Night of My Life tour.

As seen in the Twitter video, the Back to You artist is seen singing and posing towards the front of the stage in a purple ensemble, with her blonde locks down.

As the Brooklyn native was facing the crowd, a phone was seen emerging from the crowd and hitting her directly in the face.

After a moment of shock, the Grammy-nominated songstress fell to her knees with her head down as several crew members in the wings rushed to her aid.

The video was shared by a number of those attending the concert in the Big Apple on Sunday as one under the handle @RossBernaud posted a video of the artistwhose full name is Bleta Rexha, is helped off the podium after the damaging accident.

As paramedics tended her and led her behind the curtain at the venue, she gave the audience a wave.

A Twitter user captioned the clip, “This is Bebe Rexha being rushed from the concert venue here in NYC after someone threw a fancy phone and hit her in the face as she was leaving the stage.” “We were all having such a good time and so was Baby, we were all having fun, I mean who would do that??? We hope you are well @BebeRexha.

A number of Rexha’s fans took to Twitter to vent about the senseless attack on the pop star.

“Baby is literally one of the sweetest, hardest people in the music industry,” one fan wrote, “she doesn’t deserve this… some of you really need to leave her alone oh my god.”

Another fan of Child, I’m a Jealous Performer, wrote, “Absolutely amazing show ruined by a fan throwing his phone at @BebeRexha, hope she’s okay after that.”

One fan complained about the lack of decency on the part of the fan who put the phone on stage, while another questioned why and how something like this happened.

Another fan called Rexha “literally one of the sweetest, most problematic people in the music industry,” adding, “She doesn’t deserve this.”

Another fan said, “Bebe Rexha really deserves better…between this and the audience he doesn’t show any obvious signs of interest.

“Like IDC if they paid $6 to come see it, at the end of the day, they should show some respect…”

It was not immediately clear if the scary incident and resulting injury would sideline Rexa during her tour or for how long.

She has four upcoming concert dates scheduled for the next week.

They include a June 20 date at the Fillmore in Philadelphia; June 21 at The Fillmore Silver Spring in Silver Spring, Maryland; June 23 at the Tabernacle in Atlanta; and on June 24 at Hard Rock Live Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

She continued, “You don’t know what somebody’s going through, what they’re going through in their life, so it’s kind of hard.”

Right now she feels, Rexha said, “We shouldn’t be talking about people’s weight.”

Rexha was seen on May 25 at the amfAR Cannes Gala 2023 at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

She was seen during the Cannes Film Festival entries last month

Last month, the I’m Good (Blue) artist spoke about living with PCOS while appearing Gail King in the House on SiriusXM.

“It’s hard — I think for me, I’m definitely struggling with my weight and I’ve been struggling with eating forever,” Rexha said.

She cited her past experience, noting the obsession with heaviness music industry leaders have shown her, with their suggestions.

“I remember starting and getting my first record deal, and from then on, they put it in my head, saying to me when I first signed, ‘Are you ready to get into boot camp shape? Because you need to lose 20 pounds in order to do this profession; As if you had to lose weight.”
