SC Braga coach Carlos Carvalal says there is “no margin for error” against Pacos de Ferreira, a crucial match in the League Cup Group C calculations.
“We are focused on what we have to do on the four lines. We know that Paços are a team that is difficult to beat and we expect a fierce and competitive opponent. We have to be at our best. Winning is the biggest goal”, confirms coach Minho, who has played seven games without To lose and win the last three rounds.
“What’s behind you is always relative, what matters is game sharing. (…) It is not by winning three times in a row that we are at a very high level. We are growing and I hope the game is a testament to that development. Competitors are always strong, we’ve seen that. Games are hard to win and there are many spin-offs.”
Asked if he was considering making many changes to the game: “We will evaluate who is in the best conditions and call who is the best to beat Backus. I’m not thinking about making changes, it would be an assessment of who is 100 percent. We know there is a team ready to play.”
On Vetnia, the striker who is gaining space in the first team and scoring the goal that gave him the victory over Gil Vicente: “We have three strikers, all with different characteristics. Vitinha compete with her colleagues, they are at their level. Sometimes a more connected game is needed, other times a deep game is needed, and another type of game requires strikers. I am very happy to have three players vying for a seat.”
